I hope everyone is enjoying our final half term of the year, we have a been really busy with sports day, performances and summer fete.

Welcome back to school! This term we are looking at the Americas, and in KS2 we are focusing on the ancient civilization of the Maya.

Class 3's got worms

In science we have been looking as rocks, fossils and soils.  We conducted an investigation, creating our own mini compost piles in the class. We were looking at translocation of soil and transformation of fruit and vegetable waste to soil, 2 of the 4 ways soil is created. 

ITV visit the school! 

Class 3 have been receiving some coaching from Rachel Hopkins, the first female captain in a male dominated cricket league in Derbyshire.

A new class 3 member! Welcome to Harrison!

The Amazing Amazon

This half term we are looking at the Amazon River for our topic of "rivers and mountains"

We have been making poison dart frogs and been writing persuasive adverts on holidaying in the Amazon!

Sports Stars

Class 3 went to Lady Manners and played in a tag rugby tournament, we took 3 teams.  The festival team worked on rugby skills and the other two played against other schools. Placing 3rd and 1st! Well done to everyone involved
