In a dark, dark town there was a dark, dark street and in the dark, dark street there was a dark, dark house, and in the dark, dark house ... We will be practicing our sequencing, inference, vocabulary and predictions skills as well as continuing our fabulous phonics learning of set 2 and set 3 sounds. Our classroom has been set up with endless invitations to play and explore The Humnan Body, Bones, Xrays and much more. Keep checking Seesaw for our exciting learning. |
Our new music wall was installed this weekend and we have had great fun putting in to the test this week! Thankyou to FOLS for funding this fun piece of equipment! The children will love exploring the different sounds that they can create using the music wall.
Playing on the music wall with help the children to strengthen their eye-hand coordination and fine motor skills and improve their concentration. Children learn about cause and effect by experiencing how different actions result in different sounds, and stringing together several actions also results in a beautiful song! If you fancy tapping out a beat then come and have a try! |
Thanks to FOLS for funding our new outdoor music wall. We have had so much fun investigating sound and beats using our wall this week!

Throughout Autumn 2 we will be learning all about life in World War II. We will be focussing on what life was like for the children at home and what food the children had to eat. We are excited to learn all about rationing and make some war time recipes!
Keep an eye out on this page for snippets of our fun learning! |
We have been discussing the theme of Remembrance this week. The children have asked questions about why we celebrate Remembrance Day on 11th November each year. We have investigated the theme of peace and used computing and art to remeber the soldiers who faught for our freedom.
We took photographs of our hands on the ipads, printed them in black and white to represent the service men and women who have died and then painted bright red poppies on top of the photographs to represent the peace and life they have brought to us today. We think the pictures have turned out brilliantly, do you? |
