Intra School Water polo competition Report

Amazing Water polo.

Written by Lily Wilox  Friday 6th February 2015.

This morning Class 4 went to a water polo lesson and tournament in Bakewell. It was wonderful! We learnt lots of new skills and then started the games.

In the deep end competition we had our green red and blue team. Jonny was red teams star player as he saved all the goals, which were about to go in the net. He also scored many of the red teams goals.
Clementine was blue teams star player as she made good passes and catches as well as scoring lots of goals.
Mia was green teams star player as she was a great keeper and a great shooter.

In the shallow end we had a tournament with the black, white and purple teams. We all wore some cool water polo caps with our team colour. The shallow players said all the games were really tough and very close. William H was voted star player on the whites, Harvey and Hamish and Guy tied for the purple’s most valuable player spot and Captain Ethan said it was impossible to decide which player was the best in his black team as they all worked so hard.

After half term we will announce the winning teams and award the certificates in celebration assembly.

We would like to say a big thank you to Jess from City of Sheffield Water polo club who came to help coach us. And we would like to say an even bigger thank you to Mrs Gaywood for organising such a fun event.
