Maths: Teaching & Learning
Typically, maths is taught every day following the White Rose Maths schemes of learning.
In the Early Years setting, maths is part of the continuous provision within the classroom, enabling children to practice their skills through the use of manipulatives and concrete resources.
We pay careful attention to regularly revisiting arithmetic knowledge so that learning is consolidated and progress is maximised - this is achieved through morning tasks, key skills activities and independent tasks.
We use a range of pedagogical strategies to teach our children and a variety of resources including active maths, graffiti maths, digital devices, different software and resources.
