Days to remember:
Tuesdays and Wednesday  - PE Days - Children need to come to school in their PE kits. Swimming for Morpurgo starts on Wednesday 18th January and lasts for the whole Spring Term.
Friday -  Spellings and Homework - Children will be tested on their weekly spellings throughout the week and there will be no traditional spelling test on a Thursday. New spellings will be given out, when a new writing topic is started. Spellings are still available in planners and Spelling Shed. Homework will be uploaded to Seesaw or handed out in class, which will need to be completed by the following Friday.

Our first topic back this academic year was all about The Vikings. We explored how people lived in this era by looking at different artefacts from this time and comparing them to modern day Britain. Morpurgo class also created a Viking bag; explored different Viking sagas and we placed events in chronological order. It was a mighty half term!

Autumn 2  - The Rainforest of the Amazing Amazon!

Our Autumn 2 topic was all about the Amazon Rainforest. We explored the climate; different types of habitat and animals that live there and we discussed the similarities and differences between the rainforest and British forests. It was another exciting topic for us to delve into!
