Friend or Foe?
School Council and House Captains
Congratulations to both Harriet and Eddie who have been voted in to represent the class as school councillors. They both talked about their desire to encourage children to get along and be friendly.
Congratulations too, to the new house captains. They were voted in by the rest of the school.

They will be hoping to lead their houses to collect the house cup.
As a class we have been looking at the poem The Tyger by William Blake
We have used this as a stimulus and inspiration for writing our own poetry abut a tiger.
Rowling Construction LTD.
Rowling Class tackled a building challenge, we tried to build the tallest and most stable structure, holding a cup of water on top, with limited success!
Well done to Group 5 of Evie, Ben D, Olly H, Amber and Laurie for building the tallest and strongest structure.
If you require some building work at home, I suggest you use professionals, as you can see, we are not quite there yet!

I hope everyone had an excellent summer holiday and is raring to get back to school and learning - I know I am!
It's going to be an exciting year in Rowling Class this year, with a new teacher, new name and for the 1st time in 10 years, a solely year 6 class, so full steam ahead from here on in.
Take One Picture topic.... A tiger in a tropical storm
Our topic this half term will focus on the famous picture of Henri Rousseau's, 'A Tiger in a Tropical Storm'.
PE day is Thursday.
We will be swimming for the 1st term, beginning on Friday the 22nd of September until the 1st of December.
Friday the 8th and 15th of September will be a normal PE lesson with Mrs Gaywood.
